Welcome to Seyler’s Rustic Furniture, the only place in the Buffalo area where you can get real antler lighting and quality hand-made furniture, I operate a wood-shop like your father or grandfather may have had in the garage. I design and build every single piece by hand. Everything is done on site from planing raw lumber to construction to applying the final finish. A small showroom displays pieces spanning everything from hand carved spoons and cutting boards to a grand king bed constructed with six full trunk cedars and standing eight feet to the top of the headboard.
North America has been blessed with a vast array of native tree species that produce outstanding woods. Trees such as black cherry and black walnut are highly prized by furniture makers as are our maples, birches, oaks and cedars to name a few. I use only our native lumber and make every effort to also utilize trees and wood that would otherwise be land-filled, such as storm damaged yard trees.
I am especially fond of creating furniture from old barn beams and timbers. These woods are very dense, have great color and are loaded with character. I keep numerous beams and planks on hand and have produced coffee tables, liquor cabinets, sideboards and entertainment centers from them. The barns are coming down at an alarming rate, but the furniture made from them will last many more generations.
My genuine antler lighting includes floor lamps and table lamps in addition to chandeliers of all sizes. Using elk, moose, mule deer and whitetail antlers I create lighting that is sure to be a focal point and conversation piece.
